I just finished 3 weeks of daily radiation after my 3rd bout with breast cancer. This was my first experience with this type of radiation. (I had brachy therapy in 2013 however it did not require me to apply any form of skin healing.) I asked the radiation tech what would be a good lotion to use for my very red skin. Only used it once. It worked well. It was breast cancer, so nooooo pictures. 😁. I will use it a few more times before I can decide if I want to keep using it. So far so good.

I used Dermavitality Unscented Lotion prior to, during and post radiation. My skin looked normal throughout my 20 treatments with daily bolsters and at the end 4 boosters.
The afternoon of my final treatment l turned lobster red.
I continued to moisturize many times each day as well as use the lavender spray.
I am 25 days post final treatment and peeling and less red and still using the soothing lotion.
I had hoped l would not suffer any burn aka radiation dermatitis but l have very light skin and don’t bear up even in the sun well.
I can’t imagine getting through this without this healing lotion.
Unfortunately when I used the cream, my skin became very red and itchy and it didn’t go away. I tried it a couple days later and it was the same so I think I’m allergic to something in it.
I discovered this product late into treatment. My skin had already deteriorated, bleeding and dead skin, red and inflamed. The lotion went on easily and felt soothing The cream continues to improve the skin.
The friend I bought it for passed away before he had a chance to use it. But, I had purchased it couple of years ago for another friend also and she had great results with it. She said it was the only thing that gave her any relief from the burning sensations she was feeling after her radiation treatments.
